             Baju Melayu is a traditional Malay outfit for men. The Muslim males in Malaysia wear the traditional dress, baju Melayu, during festivals and wedding gatherings. They will usually wear accompanying accessories like the songkok(black hat) and samping(extra piece of sarong wrapped around the waist).

            The men's clothing is called Baju Melayu (Baju Melayu), consisting of long sleeves and trousers made of silk. Cotton or polyester with a blend of cotton, while women's clothing, called Baju Kurung (Baju Kurung), consists of a long-sleeved robe and a long skirt.




 
           The female version of the baju melayu is called the baju kurung.  Baju Kurung is the traditional dress for the Muslim ladies in Malaysia.It is simple and graceful,and covers most part of the wearer''s body in compliance of the Islamic teaching.

The dresses usually cover their body from head to toe. They wear a head scarf in public places and in government offices.              The men's clothing is called Baju Melayu and the women's clothing is Baju Kurung, similar to the Malaysian national costume. Brunei women dress in bright colors, usually in clothes. Covering the body from head to toe The men are dressed in long-sleeved shirts. The shirt is knee-length. Wear long pants and wear a sarong.
